InfoComm to Debut “Pioneers of AV Award”

New Award to Honor AV Heritage

FAIRFAX, VA - InfoComm International, the leading trade association representing the professional audiovisual industry, is pleased to announce that it is honoring the heritage of the industry by creating the InfoComm International Pioneers of AV Award.

“On InfoComm's 70th anniversary year, it is only appropriate that we pay tribute to those who helped pave the way for today’s vibrant $75 billion global industry,” said Randal A. Lemke, Ph.D., Executive Director, InfoComm International. The InfoComm International Pioneers Award will allow us to reflect on the dynamic inventors and entrepreneurs who developed technology that improved communication and created benefits that stand the test of time.”

The InfoComm International Pioneers of AV Award will be issued annually to current or former employees of InfoComm member companies who have made an important contribution to the science of audiovisual technology, whether as an inventor or thought leader who advanced the development of a new product, segment or service of the AV industry. “We are pleased to spotlight the innovators who have changed the way society is informed and entertained,” said Lemke.
