Job Title: PRODUCT MARKETING MANAGER
Location: Amherst, NY
Summary: Create and manage the purchasing and sell-through of inventory. Create product line marketing and sales strategies to increase sales and profits.
Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Management Responsibilities
• Lead by example – in all aspects of performance
• Report on inventory, market and staff issues monthly
• Create, execute and measure action plans to reduce poor inventory and grow targeted categories
• Participate in short and long term forecasting with senior management
• Provide back-up management– in an effort to maintain corporate philosophy and service
Product Management Responsibilities
• Daily: Stock profile inventory and cut needed POs to maintain desired inventory levels
• Daily: Support the sales force by obtaining special pricing on specific deals to enhance margin
• Daily: Provide product inventory and availability information to sales reps
• Daily: Oversee the update of product availability by Customer Care
• Daily: Resolve any product/delivery issues that are brought to your attention by Customer Care [order expedition]
• Daily: Review back-orders and make suggestions to sales reps to fill with comparable products
• Daily: Gain an understanding of competitive product landscape and the product positioning of our lines
• Weekly: Update old/demo stock status and pricing on the website weekly at a minimum
• Monthly: Educate the sales force on the positioning of various product lines
• Monthly: Create action plans to achieve monthly sales targets in specific categories
Product Marketing Responsibilities
• Creates and manages the corporate and vendor marketing plans. This involves the creation and execution of quarterly marketing plans, which includes trade journal advertising, direct mail, branding and tradeshows.
• Responsible to create campaigns to drive sales of product lines; including customer focused and internal promotions.
• Responsible for Stampede brand stewardship across print and electronic media.
• Direct and manage the input of information into the item card
• Direct and manage the product information on Stampede US website
• Direct and manage the input of pricing data into Navision as needed
• Participate in the development of quarterly marketing plans
• Provide marketing staff guidance and direction on the selection of product for marketing activities
• Review marketing materials as needed
• Manage the ordering of literature and other promotional materials from manufacturers
Vendor Management Responsibilities
• Cultivate a relationship with day-to-day contacts at all vendors
• Recruit new vendors to Stampede as directed by senior management
• Manage the process of bringing new vendors aboard and launching the product line internally
• Coordinate and schedule trainings for the sales staff as necessary
• Participate in the development and refinement of Stampede’s standard distribution contract
• Create vendor feedback reports on a quarterly basis and share with vendors
• Calculate VIR attainment levels and submit claims to the appropriate manufacturers
• Create POS & inventory stock profile report

Job Title: RELATIONSHIP MANAGER
Location: Amherst, NY, Dallas/Fort Worth, TX, Quebec, Canada
Summary: Responsible for selling products to wholesale customers.
Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
• Organizing lists of prospective customers in the approved target markets
• Pursuing these prospects in an effort to add them to the client base
• Contacting prospects via phone, logging calls in designated contact management program, and fulfilling organization’s daily activity standard of 40 outbound phone calls [25% prospecting and 75% account management]
• Open 4 new accounts a month – minimum. Target of 8.
• Ensuring the accurate gathering of all account information in designated contact management program
• Identifying, fulfilling customer needs and preparing quotes for customer acceptance
• Ensuring timeliness and accuracy of all sales orders, their credit approval and delivery
• Handling all incoming customer calls
• Handling customer requests for return authorizations and credits based on SPP policy
• Handling customer complaints – developing solutions consistent with SPP philosophy
• Maintaining awareness of inventory levels
• Retaining and updating product knowledge
• Maintaining desired margin levels
• Manage personal schedule appropriately to achieve new account and existing business targets as set by management
• Providing proper level of motivation and enthusiasm for optimum performance
